When you think of Pepper Spray or Mace, many pictures and thoughts probably come to mind.
As you've seen from the previous entry - the effects of it can be nasty and I always think of the song by Thomas Dolby "She Blinded Me With Science"!! (I know that was a bad one - be prepared for more ahead - hee, hee).
The purpose of Pepper Spray and Mace are to stop the attacker so that you can run for safety ("and I raaann, I ran so far away" - Flock of Seagulls).
However, the Pepper Spray or Mace container must be easily accessible! I'm sure your attacker won't wait while you dig around in your purse or pocket to look for it (I know, you're like Carly Simon who hasn't "got time for the pain").
These are just a few things to consider while looking at your personal protection options.
Our site www.defensesafety.com has Pepper Spray available in a variety of canisters (lipstick models, key chains, pagers, pens, sun visors, batons, and walking weights. Come on in and check us out!

The difference between Mace and Pepper Spray:
Mace:
~ is an irritant and may not have an effect on those attackers who feel no pain (such as psychotics or those under the influence of drugs or alcohol).
Pepper Spray:
~ is a reddish-orange oily liquid that is made from hot Cayenne Peppers and will not wash off with water. It is an inflammatory agent and can cause immediate (within 5-10 seconds) temporary blindness, watery eyes, swollen eyelids, running nose, difficulty breathing, and strong burning or stinging of the skin. It doesn't cause any lasting after-effects.
Hmmm - which one would you use on an attacker?
